No-Go

Well, I got a call at 8:00 this morning from the Activities Director at the nursing home we were supposed to go to this afternoon.  She said she needed to reschedule our visit for Monday.  Poor Riley will have to wait an extra few days to get doted over!  I think she can contain herself!

Does anyone know why Riley always feels the need to put her paw on us?  If you pet her, she likes to put her paw up on your hand and if you’re lying down beside her she likes to put her paw on your leg or foot.  I don’t think it’s a dominance thing because she’s actually a pretty submissive dog, flopping over on her back exposing her belly.

Sorry for the lack of pictures, I seem to have misplaced my camera!

  1. Callie girl always puts her hands on us too. We actually thought it had to do with her being deaf but Louie (deaf brother) doesn't do it. Maybe it is a female thing? Oh both the deaf ones have to be touching Mom when they are laying next to me.. Big Sloppy KissesGus, Louie and Callie

  2. Stumpy's always all paws, too! Must be a girl cattle dog thang! It will be up to you to make up for all the pattin' and lovin' riley will be missing at the nursing home, until Monday!Stumpy and I are on vacation and our internet access is sketchy, at best. We'll catch up when we can!

  3. That's interesting that Callie and Stumpy both do it too! Must be something about those female cattle dogs. My dad says it's her way of hugging us. 🙂

Riley loves hearing from her friends!
