How It Went Down…

Here’s how “it” “went down.”  (Whatever “it” is and whatever “went down” means!).  🙂

My dad (Riley’s Grandpa) called to me from downstairs the other night.  He said I just “had” to come and see this.  So I trudged down the steps only to discover…well…Chloe was standing on our dining room table with her whole head down in a pot of Crowder Peas we had left on the table after dinner!

It looked something like this:

(Note: This is just a recreation of said “event.”  No more Crowder Peas were harmed in the remaking of this event!).

The bad part is that while my mom (Riley’s Grandma) was screaming upstairs for my dad to get Chloe off of the table, he just let her stay up there and finish off the peas.  He figures she’s so old now (13) that she can do whatever she wants.  Especially if she goes to all the trouble of hopping up onto the table top…  I can’t say I agree!

On another note…the “good dog,” Riley, got a bit of a good report today.  Well, not so much a report, but here’s what happened:  I called the V-E-T today to get Riley an appointment for next Tuesday for her annual wellness exam and some shots she’s due for (she has to be up to date for TDI–but even if she wasn’t a therapy dog, I’d have her up to date!!).  I talked to a girl that I had never talked to before and couldn’t picture who she was.  When I told her the appointment was for Riley, she said “Oh, I know Riley!”  Uh-oh, I said…  She said “No, Riley’s really sweet!”  Phew!  Score one more point for Riley!  🙂
