I was feeling a bit nostalgic today (and I didn’t really have any good pictures from our lazy weekend), so I decided to post some pictures of when Riley was 2 months old in May of 2009. Enjoy!
First night home.
Riley and Chloe still love to play tug of war with each other.
They used to play this game where they would take the tennis ball out of each other’s mouth and would go back and forth between dogs with it.
Back when Chloe used to be able to pin Riley down…now it’s most definitely the other way around!
My all time favorite picture of Miss Dirt Face!
Another shot of her dirty muzzle.
Today I am thankful for my furry little heart (as I like to call her…), Riley. She came into my life at a time I needed her love the most and hasn’t disappointed me with all that love since. She was one of four puppies to survive in her litter after her mom had a C-section. I had last pick of the females and almost waited for the next litter so I could have first pick. If I would’ve done that, I would’ve ended up with a different dog that maybe wouldn’t have impacted my life so much. I also might have gotten a dog without hip dysplasia, but I have my problems, so she can definitely have hers. Riley is the first and only dog with hip dysplasia from her parents and after the breeder found out, she pulled her parents from her breeding program. Funny how genetics and environment work out. I wouldn’t have it any other way. And now a throwback fat puppy picture:
Look at the size of that belly!!
I hope everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving and got their fill of food, I sure did! All you Black Friday shoppers, try not to get trampled or into fights tomorrow morning…remember the spirit of the season. I go Black Friday shopping around 9 AM when everything’s calmed down some. My sister goes at like 4 AM and is nice enough to get the things I need to get then and I just pay her back. It’s a pretty sweet deal…I would recommend it to anyone!! 🙂
Today I thought I’d share some of Riley’s puppy pictures. The first three are the first three pictures I got of her from the breeder and the other ones are of Riley’s first few days home. Enjoy!
