"Keeping it Cool" Contest!

The wonderful people over at The Organic Hound Company are sponsoring a fun contest on our blog here.

So here’s the deal…  We want to see your pictures of your favorite way of cooling off on a hot summer day!  The pictures can be Photoshopped or edited or they can just be a regular photo you take.  So get creative!  The contest starts today and the last day we’ll be accepting pictures is next Friday, July 15th at midnight Eastern time.  E-mail your pictures to: riley.acd(at)gmail(dot)com

There will be one grand prize winner who will win a box of all three of their flavors of treats (so 3 boxes of treats) and a runner-up who will win one box of treats in the flavor of their choice.  Let me just say that Riley absolutely is nuts for these treats!  The people at The Organic Hound Co. are going to be the judges and pick their two favorite pictures.  I’ll post all of the pictures we get e-mailed on July 16th and 17th and then I’ll announce the winner and runner-up on Monday, July 18th.  This contest is open to residents of the US and Canada only.

Last Chance to Enter the Personalized Santa Dog Bandana Giveaway!

My mom (Riley’s Grandma) and I went over to Aunt Baddy’s house today to take a Christmas picture of Baddy, Jimmy (Uncle Jimmy that Riley’s in love with…) and the dog cousins Daisy and Highway.  They wanted a good picture of all four of them for their Christmas card.  Daisy and Highway didn’t feel like cooperating…!  We finally managed to get one good picture, but it wasn’t even that great!  Daisy and Highway kept trying to play with each other.  Then Daisy wouldn’t sit down by her Daddy.  Then when Daisy finally sat down, Highway decided he wanted to sprawl out all over the floor and sleep.  It was quite a trying picture taking session for this photographer…!  Here’s some of the outtakes (unfortunately I didn’t get any with Baddy and Jimmy in the picture because we used Aunt Baddy’s camera for that.  These are some pictures from my camera…):

Here’s an attempt at a Christmas card picture we took outside…  Riley’s wearing her bandana.  We scrapped this one and went with another picture instead though.  A better one.
