More Adventures in Babysitting

I just have to say that I am proud of myself for posting every day this week so far…let’s see if I can keep it up for tomorrow, too!

I watch baby Bailey at my house (with Riley and Chloe, of course) 4 days a week.  I like being home with the dogs and being able to stay in my pajamas all day if I want to…  Riley is getting braver about this whole baby thing.  She will sniff of Bailey (until Bailey makes a sudden movement, then Riley jumps back…haha!) and sit next to her now.  She even decided to play with a cup out of Bailey’s picnic basket–bad dog!  Luckily, I saw it in time and she didn’t chew it or anything.

Yesterday, Riley had a little white piece of cardboard she was chewing on.  She dropped it on the ground near Bailey and Bailey swiftly picked it up.  It was like slow motion as she was bringing the piece of cardboard closer and closer to her mouth–I jumped off the couch and said “Noooooo!” and was able to grab it out of her hand nanoseconds before it went in her mouth!

I caught some cute pictures of Riley, Chloe, and Bailey that I’d like to share!

I didn’t pose Riley there.  She just happened to be sitting that close to Bailey.

Chloe is generally oblivious to what’s going on with the baby.  She gets close enough to sniff of her every once and a while (IF Riley lets her!) and Bailey sometimes reaches out and pets Chloe and Chloe is fine with that.  Riley is only fine with being touched by Bailey if she has her back turned and doesn’t know it’s Bailey touching her…otherwise she runs away…silly dog!

I just had to take this picture because her daddy has a beard too!

“Catch ya later, Bailey!  I’m going outside where it’s baby free!”  🙂

  1. We don't have any little peeps but we sometimes have to put up with them in the park. I am not a tambourine. They never seem to get the stroking thing right. Have a terrific Thursday.Best wishes MollyPS well done on your posts this week. Always nice to see you.

  3. Poor Riley, she does look a bit nervous! A few of our pack adore kids even though the really little ones aren't around much.We agree with Amber DaWeenie – once food drops, Riley will really like Bailey!

Riley loves hearing from her friends!
