Cleanin’ Up

Riley goes tomorrow to get her toofies cleaned.  She has some brown build up on some of her back teeth–not a lot, but some–and I can’t wait for her teeth to be pearly white again.  She doesn’t have stinky breath or anything, so I’m confident her teeth are in fairly good shape…or at least I hope they are.  I just figured that since she’ll be 4 next month (eek!  How did that happen ALREADY??  My little baby is growing up!), it was probably time to get her teeth cleaned.  Hopefully she won’t have to have any pulled or anything major like that.

This is Riley pretending she’s zonked out getting her teeth cleaned at the V-E-T…
And this is Riley checking her Facebook…or just plain being in the way…  🙂  Gotta love her anyway!
I think I’ll get before and after pictures of her teeth (or at least cousin Highway did when he had his teeth cleaned at the same V-E-T), so I’ll be sure to post those if I do get them.  I know how we love before and after pictures of gross stuff.
In other news, Riley’s fur is *almost* completely grown back in from her surgery back at the end of October.  Yay!  The fur grew in really coarse though for some odd reason.  Oh well.

  1. Lol – love how Riley is "practicing" for her teeth cleaning! I love gross stuff too! My friend's mom's dog had to have all of his teeth pulled cause they were so rotten (long story of why they got that way in the first place) and I asked her to please have the vet put them in a jar so I could see them. They were so nasty and yet I had to stare at them for a while. Don't worry though, I did throw them away and resisted the urge to fashion a necklace with them. Totally kidding – I'm not THAT gross! ;)Glad Riley's fur is growing back although it is strange about the coarseness of it. Hmmm…maybe after a while it'll soften up?

  3. Hey Riley, good luck with the cleaning. Does that sound right? Good luck?! Anyways, we'll be thinking of ya. That's interesting about the hair/fur on Riley's leg. When Bill had his leg shaved for his surgery, it all grew back normal and Brook had a patch on her lower back that was shaved but it grew in very coarse then softened. Weird.

Riley loves hearing from her friends!
