Well, friends, just look what came in the mail yesterday for Riley!!
It’s Riley’s Christmas Exchange pressie from Sidebite! Don’t worry, Sidebite, we will NOT let her open it until Christmas!
I got a call yesterday from the surgeon’s office saying that Dr. Dassler would be traveling on December 26th (the day of her follow-up appointment), so could we move the appointment to the 27th? How dare he travel on the day of Riley’s FREEEEEEDOM! Just kidding. So she won’t get off crate rest officially until the 27th, but I’m going to let her have a little bit of freedom on Christmas day. I mean, really, how cruel would I be if I didn’t let her enjoy her Christmas??
In other news, we are more than halfway through crate rest!! Tuesday marked the halfway point! Woohoo! We’ve been marking off the days on the calendar and we’re almost done with November! November was going to be the whole month on crate rest, so it’s kind of a big deal we’re almost done with it. Pathetic, isn’t it?? 🙂

Yay for presents! I'm so bummed I missed this year's gift exchange 😦 I participated the past two years but have been a bad blogger and somehow missed it this year. Hopefully Riley got something super good to make up for all the crate resting!
