I’m sure you all have been waiting on pins and needles to hear whether or not Riley has had a successful poop…right?? I’m here to alleviate your fears and say that Riley pooped once last night and once this afternoon. And they were regular old poops, so I think she’s back to normal.
She’s walking even better today than she was yesterday when I posted the video. She also had a much better night last night than Wednesday night. She and I both slept the whole night and even had to be woken up in the morning around 7:00. (Which, that is sleeping in [for Riley at least]…she usually gets up around 6:00 or 6:15 if I’m lucky).
Her ankle is still swollen and there’s some bruising on her leg. Her wound oozed some the first couple of days, but it seems to have stopped oozing now. Here is a gross picture of her incision:

So glad that Riley is home and doing well. Our thoughts are still with you both. The other day you mentioned about how much you missed her while she was away one night – I can relate to that! When Bill had his leg surgery this past spring, the house seemed so empty with him gone. (yes there were five others, but still…) Be sure and keep us updated and hi to Riley!

Actually I AM glad she finally is pooping normally! Honestly, when my dogs are under the weather and not pooping or peeing like regular – it does stress me out a little because I imagine they are uncomfortable. Go Riley! She's actually looking pretty good!
