We had a lot of fun during week 2 of Koly and Kelly’s K9 Kamp! The challenge was to play ball and have your human get active in the game too. Riley used to love for me to play keep away with her with a soccer ball when she was a puppy…so I went out and bought a foam soccer ball (she pops regular balls because she goes psycho and chews on them!) and headed out to the backyard. The ball crazy dog was NOT interested! Whaaaat? She just wanted to play with her tennis balls. Sigh.
So I ran around like a crazy person in the backyard and Riley laid down in the shade and watched me make a fool of myself. Haha. Can’t say I blame her!
She did enjoy playing with her tennis balls though! I had bagged them up and put them away when she had her knee surgery and hadn’t given them back yet. I wish I would have had a video of her eyes when I dumped them all out in the backyard–she was in pure Heaven!!

I would kick the ball for her and then run while she was running around. I got a pretty good workout, actually! I was winded at the end and was even a little sore the next day (can you tell how incredibly out of shape I am??)!

I gathered all her balls back up together to take back inside (there’s no need for her to have EIGHT balls to herself…haha!). She decided she was hot and needed to roach around!
Well, at least one of us is looking at the camera…

Wow that's a whole lotta balls! We've never had more than two balls in rotation at any time, because Desmond–just like Riley–makes it a point to destroy each one. Although, I kind of want to get a whole bunch specifically to dump them all out at once like that. He'd go bonkers. I may have to get on that! Thanks for the idea.
