K9 Kamp–We’re Walkin’ on Sunshine–or Rainshine…

The week one challenge for Koly and Kelly’s K9 Kamp was called “Walking on Sunshine” and was all about getting out and walking with your dog.  We only got to get “out” and walk once, the other times we had to walk inside our house because it was raining.  We did have fun when we got to walk at the lake on a sunny day.

Now, here’s a little disclaimer…Grandma was the official photographer for our walking pictures…  That should be enough said right there!  She didn’t realize her camera was set on “Motion Picture” mode, so instead of having 30 still pictures, we have 30 2 second-long videos…sigh.  Most of them are of Grandma’s foot and the ground.  So the really blurry/pixelated pictures are still images of videos…sigh again.  🙂

Now, here’s where we had to get a little creative…and walk inside.  I carried a toy with me and walked around our downstairs.  I would’ve thrown in some stairs to get our thighs looking good, but Riley isn’t supposed to be doing a whole lot of stair climbing because of her hip dysplasia.  Climbing stairs is difficult for her, so we just walked around downstairs.  The downstairs of our house sort of forms a circle–you can walk all the way around the stairs, so we just did laps around the downstairs.

C’mon, slowpoke!  She wasn’t quite sure what to think of walking around inside because it was raining.  I kept trying to get her to walk AROUND our dining room table, but she kept cutting through and cheating…little snot!  🙂

We started “jogging” a little bit.  Just a slow jog…more like a fast walk.

We had fun doing our “walkies” for this challenge and can’t wait for the next challenge!  And hopefully our weather will be nicer for the next challenge!
