Since so many of you asked about Snow Cream, I decided to post the recipe. It tastes almost exactly like the ice cream at Chick-Fil-A if any of you have had the pleasure of enjoying that! There are a lot of different ways to make snow cream, but these are two of my favorites (AKA I think they taste the best!)…
First, the BEST:
Mix together one can of sweetened condensed milk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, and add clean snow until it looks ice-creamy.
We put out a big bowl as soon as it starts snowing up on top of our grill so the dogs can’t possibly make it yellow! Anyway, we use the snow out of that to make our snow cream. If it’s still snowing, put your bowl back outside to collect snow so you can make two (or five) batches.
Here’s the next recipe that’s not as good as the first but it works if you don’t have any sweetened condensed milk on hand…
Mix together two cups of milk, one cup of sugar, and a tablespoon of vanilla. After you’ve mixed it together, add about a gallon of snow and mix it in until it looks ice-creamy.
Enjoy!!

next time I see snow, closer than 50 miles away on mountain tops, we'll give it a try. I'm still a little worried about birds flying overheard and squirrels in trees…
