More Fun in the Snow

Riley has been enjoying herself so much in the snow!  She was just out back playing in it for about 30 minutes by herself before we called her to come in.  My mom and I ventured out to the grocery store because we were running low on things to eat for lunch and dinner.  The roads in the neighborhood were still pretty icy but the main roads were plowed and salted.

Uncle Jimmy’s aunt, uncle, cousin, and grandparents are on their way here from Indiana.  We wish them safe travels and can’t wait to see them!

Snow nose.

As you can tell, we got over a foot of snow.  We made three batches of snow cream and bought more stuff for it today at the grocery store!  Yummy!

  1. Elyse, with regard to the snow cream… (sing along with me) Watch out where the huskies go and don't you eat that yellow snow … Dreamed I was an eskimo Frozen wind began to blow Under my boots and around my toes The frost that bit the ground below It was a hundred degrees below zero… And my mama cried And my mama cried Nanook, a-no-no Nanook, a-no-no Don't be a naughty eskimo Save your money, don't go to the show Well I turned around and I said oh, oh oh… And the northern lights commenced to glow And she said, with a tear in her eye Watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiHTPmAzjgk
