Vet Trip Tomorrow

Riley will definitely be going to the vet tomorrow.  She pulled the rest of her nail off with her teeth herself…good thing too, because it was beginning to give me the willies!  So I think she’s good on the nail front but she has been limping around on both of her hips–usually it’s just her left hip she limps a little on but today it’s been her right hip mainly.  And her limp usually isn’t this severe.  It may be surgery time.  I sure hope not, for her sake mainly.

Anyway, I’ll keep everyone updated after the vet visit tomorrow.  I’m foreseeing–gasp–crate rest in the near future.  Shoot us both now!

  1. Ahhh poor girl!!! Glad the nail is gone though. Is her hip hurting more since she was putting pressure on it from limping due to the toenail? Or is it a different hip? Good luck tomorrow! We are off to the vet tomorrow for teeth cleaning… Good times! ~The Mama Monster

  2. Elyse – hang in there! I know Hay has started to limp and slow down a little with the weather cooling off. Riley prolly has a little arthritis like Hay that is going to start to bother her soon. Im looking at getting a heating pad for her bed this winter in hopes that will help with her hips. We will keep our paws crossed its not surgery time!

  3. Hi Y'all, wanted to let you know I've got my paws crossed for you and Riley! Hope she's just sore from gettin' off the front foot that's been hurtin'. The Humans tell me that horses do that and people do it too. I'll be watchin' to see what the vet says!Hawk aka BrownDog
