That definitely has to be a heeler thing. Shake it.. Gus loves to shake his ball, frisbee, stick…. Callie girl is 2 oh no the terrible two's.. She shows no signs of slowing down.. Does Riley herd? We take the pups sheep herding in the spring and fall when it isn't so Hot.. Callie and Louie are a bit of a challenge since they are deaf. Our trainer seems to think that Callie has so much natural talent we just need to figure out how to slow her down. Louie loves to just scatter the sheep but he has fun. Gus is doing great he has been to one competition and has one leg of his novice title.. Not sure if you have met Velcro. She is in CA and is a super herder. Check out our side bar for her link.. Big Sloppy KissesGus, Louie and Callie
I was reading some older posts of your blog. It looks like our heelers have a lot in common! Oh, and I don't think Riley will ever show signs of slowing down either!I call Riley my "Australian Retriever" because she has no herding instincts…or at least none that I've seen so far. She would rather go fetch things. She has seen a donkey and just barked at it.I don't think she'd be allowed to herd anyway with her hip dysplasia. Maybe after she has her hip replacement in another year or two.I am now following Velcro's blog, thanks!
